Wild Toro is a bull fighting themed game, which was released in the last couple of weeks, by ELK Studios.

The game has a design that looks impressive, it offers matadors and bulls on its reels, and there are also other interesting images among its symbols, so you don’t get a chance to become bored quickly.

This particular slot machine has 178 ways to win, quite the unusual setup if you know what’s usually offered. There are 5 reels, which are taller than usual, offering 4 symbols per column.

What We Love

An easy part of the game to love is the design, which looks stunning, perfect for any modern slot machine released in 2016. You might not see a lot of games coming from ELK Studios, but you’re likely to enjoy them all, at least if you look at the graphics alone.

The symbols in Wild Toro give you the Matador, Toro himself (the bull), a logo, oranges, red roses and hand fans, but also three coins, made out of gold, silver and copper.

The easiest feature to understand is a wild symbol, which has a logo that says Wild Toro on it. You simply have this one in the role of a substitute, as a symbol that can be included in regular combinations to help you form them in the first place.

You’re going to have the Toro symbol only on reel 5. If the Bull appears there, then you will find that it’s a Walking Wild, moving towards the first reel, one column at a time, turning all the Matador symbols into wilds as it does this.

Then, there is the Matador symbol as well, which you have on the reels 2, 3 and 4. Having all three will trigger a Respin Challenge feature, which will continue until the Toro icon appears.

What We Do Not Like

The ways to win give you only 178 possibilities to form combinations each round. A typical game with 5 reels of 4 symbols can offer 1024 ways to win, so it’s clear that not all of them are activated.

Just because you have matching symbols on three or more reels doesn’t guarantee you a win, they need to be in certain positions as well.

Worth Playing?

I believe that it’s worth playing, based on features or graphics that it can offer. I wasn’t very happy about its biggest payouts, they don’t go past $1,000 normally.
