Nostradamus is a Playtech slot machine which was announced by this developer, and which will naturally be themed around the prophecies of Nostradamus.

He was a man from the 16th century, which has since become famous for the prophecies that he made, and in which people have found some connection to real world events of our times.

The slot machine which we’re offered here has 243 ways to win on 5 reels, gives the player quite a few decent features, and supposedly there will be big payouts as well.

What We Love

One of the things to enjoy about this game is the theme, which isn’t that common, despite the popularity of Nostradamus. Not sure if there are any other slot machines with this topic on the market, this is the only one I remember seeing. That in itself is a good enough reason to try out Nostradamus, especially if you believe in his power to predict the future.

The game takes on a design which is inspired by Medieval Europe, with a castle being part of the background, while on the reels there are various images which are related to his work in some way. There is paper, planets, a globe, an hourglass, a telescope, and more than a few poker cards.

One of the features announced for Nostradamus relies on the Predictions which were made. This one can supposedly bring you massive wins and multipliers for any spin.

Triggering free spins is easy enough, you just need a minimum of three scatter symbols, which are the ones that have the Earth Globe on them. The result will be a round of free spins, with 5 rounds and with some modifiers that you can pick from. You can choose a symbol which will be turned into a wild, along with its ability. You can get an Earthquake (Pyramids icon), a Lightning (Eiffel Tower) or a Tsunami (Statue of Liberty).

Should the Pyramids symbol be chosen, and if it appears on the reels, it will cause an earthquake, where the only reel standing at the end will be the one with the wild on it. The others will go away and new symbols will come to replace them.

The Eiffel Tower icon can also be a wild during free spins, and it will cause a lightning which will place additional wilds on the reels. With the Statue of Liberty, the Tsunami feature is activated, bringing a water wave on the reels, turning one of them into a wild reel.

A bonus game was included in the slot as well, and to trigger it you will need icons which have a Bonus logo and planets visible next to the Sun. It’s a feature where planets align, and they give you prizes, based on your luck.

What We Do Not Like

There isn’t much to dislike about this game at this point. We don’t know yet what kind of payouts it will offer, and it does include some poker cards which are not that pleasant, but otherwise it looks like a solid game.

Worth Playing?

It appears to be a good slot from Playtech. We’ll see when it comes out if it’s really as good as it sounds right now.
