Playtech Just Launched Age Of The Gods Mobile Slot

Age Of The Gods is a newly announced slot machine, due to be released in 2016 by Playtech. It’s one of the future big names of this developer, Playtech planning to offer progressive jackpots with it, along with great features and with future titles which will be part of the same series, focusing on the same Greek gods that this slot chose.

The theme is inspired by Zeus and the rest of the gods from the Greek Pantheon, the action taking place somewhere in Olympus, which is their home. You are getting a 5 reel slot machine, which holds a total of 25 paylines and which can offer progressive jackpots of considerable value as its big prizes.

What We Love

The first slot of the series seems to be focused on Zeus, with the next ones that were announced bringing themes where the heroes are other gods, including Hercules and Athena. Rumor is that these games will replace the ones which are licensed from Marvel right now, so they offer the same type of experience and big progressive jackpots. While I hope that both the Marvel licensed slots and the Age of the Gods series coexist for a long time, I’m always glad to see slot machines released with big potential payouts offered alongside.

The quality of the design is not bad, but they could’ve done better, especially if they want this to become their main series of slot machines. The themed symbols look good, with plenty of details, and showing images with a connection to the Greek mythology and culture.

The slot’s progressive jackpots give you four types of prizes, ranging from two to six figures in value. The best possible one is the Ultimate Power Jackpot, followed by Extra Power, Super Power and Power. Getting one of these prizes is not easy, but not impossible either. To access the bonus game that awards these prizes, you need a winning combo with five matching symbols, and then you have to pick from the hidden symbols, until you locate three identical ones, with one of the jackpots.

What We Do Not Like

As I do in many other slots, I’m going to mention the playing cards among the symbols which I’m not happy about. They do make an effort to give them a look that fits the rest of the design, but it doesn’t work out that well.

Given the attention that Playtech seems to give this future series of slots, called Age of the Gods, I’m sure that the game will have plenty to offer, especially payout wise.
