Play’n Go Just Launched Cloud Quest Mobile Slot

One of the latest titles to be announced by Play N Go, Cloud Quest is a game which doesn’t try to be like the other slot machines already on the market.

The developers chose an unusual setup for it, with 5 reels but without any paylines, instead relying on symbols which are next to each other either vertically, horizontally or in diagonal. As for the theme of this slot machine, expect a fantasy inspired game, with wizards, with cities that float in the air and with things like potion bottles or spell books. It looks quite impressive all things considered, and Play N Go certainly seems to want to get the player’s attention with this title and the others that they’ve released in the last 12 months.

What We Love

One thing which I always seem to be saying lately is how good the graphics are in slot machines that are being released these days. It’s true though, the vast majority of the games that developers put out now are of very good quality, and they not only have great designs, they also innovate often and they seem much more willing to do away with the old payline system.

The graphics include mostly wizard related items, or things that have some connection to the fantasy genre. In the background, a large and beautiful city made out of stone seems to be floating in mid air, with waterfalls falling over the edge towards the ground. You have a constant companion on the screen’s left side, in the form of a wizard. On the reels, the images are all related by the looks of it, as I didn’t see any playing cards.

In the case of Cloud Quest, we get a game which forms its combinations by landing a minimum of three symbols next to each other. The combination can form horizontally, diagonally or vertically. Either way, you get paid. The symbols which are part of those combinations disappear, so that new ones can drop from above and take their place. The game can keep giving you combinations this way, through the new symbols which take the place of the old ones.

There is also a Bonus feature in the game, which when triggered will give you free spins. During these spins, a Bonus area will move from one row of symbols to another. Symbols from within the border which are part of combinations will pay more.

Finally, a wild feature is also part of Cloud Quest. Expect it to lend you a hand whenever it makes an appearance where it’s needed.

What We Do Not Like

I’m pretty excited about this game and what it will offer when it comes out. I have nothing bad to say about it for the moment.
