Aloha Cluster Pays is a Hawaiian inspired slot machine, designed by Net Entertainment, which for any game would automatically tell me that it has a great design, and that it should be quite fun to play.

The main feature it offers is actually mentioned in the title, the Cluster Pays bit. It’s a way of forming combinations which doesn’t care about paylines, instead only needing the symbols to be clustered together. You can have in a cluster symbols from three or more reels, with multiple symbols from each one. On top of that, there are 6 reels in this game, instead of the usual 5.

What We Love

Since this slot is a Net Ent creation, I can start immediately with the design, since it always seems to come out just right when they make it. The theme they’ve chosen for this game is inspired by the gods of Hawaii and of the Pacific Islands in general, where you can often find Tiki statues or masks with these gods on them.

The symbols look great and they come in two variants. You have the low paying symbols first, with images like shells, coconuts, pineapple or flowers, and then there are higher paying symbols, which use images of Tiki Masks on them.

The Cluster Pays system is a big plus for this slot machine. The symbols need to appear on neighboring reels, and touching with at least one symbol from each one. Multiple symbols from each reel can be part of that cluster. The symbols seem to come in stacked, so the formation of a cluster is not as hard as it might sound.

From time to time, at the conclusion of a spin where you got a winning cluster, a Sticky Win Re-Spin feature will trigger. It keeps the symbols from the cluster locked in place, and it re-spins only the rest of the available positions. If new symbols appear in the cluster as a result, the re-spin continues. It can continue to bring new wins until you get a spin without an additional symbol for the cluster, or until the entire screen has that symbol on it.

You will find free spins as well here, between 9 and 12 games being won when 3 to 6 scatter symbols are present on the reels. The low paying symbols drop from the reels, leaving only Tiki Masks which pay big. It’s an advantage that makes the free spins potentially very profitable.

What We Do Not Like

The game doesn’t seem to offer features which are bad or useless, and the graphics look great, so I’m not going to complain about anything in this case.

Worth Playing?

Once it’s released I believe it will be a very interesting title. The designer did everything in its power to make it an appealing choice, and it helps that payouts of up to 100,000 coins are possible.
