What We Love

One of the clear strengths of Great Wild Elk is its design. Though it’s not something that we necessarily expect from a slot machine created by NextGen, we do get an above average design from it. You have a theme based on elements of magic and nature, mixing them very well with the choice of background graphics and symbols.

The image shown behind the reels is that of a great forest, with a path leading to a huge tree and with the Northern Lights visible above it all. The game feels a lot more polished and looks better than almost any other slot machine from this company.

Only one reel of the five available will have the wild symbol on it, and that would be the 3^rd reel. You have the image of a White Elk there, a beautiful creature which you will be glad to see.

It has as much to do with the quality of the design, as it does with the usefulness of the symbol. It might be used only on the 3^rd reel, but it can still be helpful, contributing to new winning combinations as a substitute. It will not replace scattered Trees.

The Tree scatter is important to the game also, and it offers the biggest payout of 500 coins, even though it can only be present on four reels (1, 2, 4 and 5). You need all four to get the prize I mentioned above.

If you play the game long enough, you might notice a random feature trigger, which they call Elk’s Light. It will turn all rune stone symbols present on the reels that round, into one of the four types of creature symbols.

What We Do Not Like

You get low payouts from this slot, up to 500 coins at most, and that would be the main thing that I’m not happy about.
