Lost Vegas, A Zombie vs Survivors Themed Slot

lost-vegas-slot-logoLost Vegas delivers an impressive looking zombie themed game, one where the setting is in the middle of Las Vegas, now a city that is overrun with these creatures.

The game has two sides actually, and you are the one that picks which one is active. If you want to, you can be one of the survivors, or alternatively you can choose the zombies.

The character symbols are replaced, along with the background graphics. The changes don’t stop there, the slot also offering different features for the two sides, along with some that are in common.

There will be 243 ways to win placed on 5 reels. The creator of the game is called Microgaming.

What We Love

I’m a big fan of this particular type of design, with high quality drawings for the symbols, and the ones which show human or zombie characters are especially well made. The two sides will each have a set of symbols with characters, one in human, the other in zombie form.

The zombies seem to be much more diverse, being dressed as Elvis impersonators, as show girls and sexy nurses, or at least they were that before they were transformed. As for the survivors, there is the golf player, the business woman, party girls and a cop.

The wild symbols are properly announced, using their own logos for their symbols. Their role is the one you expect to find in any game, being used as substitutes which will eventually improve your winning percentage significantly, though it’s still something for the long term.

Scatters are the ones marked Free Spins, and with the biohazard warning sign added on top. These are needed in at least three positions, and if you have them scattered anywhere in view, you will get the free spins that are offered with the side you’re on. The Zombies have free spins with an Infection feature, while the Survivors have something called a Stash feature.

There are also a couple of randomly triggered events which can appear. I’m not sure if they’re attached to a certain side, or if you can get them both and no matter the mode that you’re in.

One is the Zombie Fist of Cash, which is a big green hand that comes from below with a wad full of cash in it, offering you a bonus prize. The other is called Blackout Bonus, and it gives you cash prizes for all the character symbols you have on the screen at the time.

What We Do Not Like

They could’ve went with a full line-up of zombie/survivor themed symbols, rather than use poker cards for low paying roles.

Worth Playing?

Overall, Lost Vegas looks like it could be a favorite of mine when it comes out, though we don’t know the payout levels yet.
