Yggdrasil Gaming Just Launched Seasons Mobile Slot

A slot machine which was recently released by Yggdrasil Gaming, Seasons focuses on the passage of time in nature, the design showing off trees and green fields, as they go through the changes normal during the four seasons.

The slot’s graphics will change, and so will the features which are offered to the player, at least the wild symbols. The design of the game is superb, no matter at what season you’re looking at. The slot gets 5 reels, with 20 paylines and a jackpot of $5,000.

What We Love

This isn’t the first slot machine to show off the way the seasons change, and there is actually a recent title which was released, called 4 Seasons, but that one has a more Chinese inspiration to it.

Seasons is more natural, with better looking symbols and even though it includes card suits, it turns them into versions with leaves, so they look like they belong in this design. The game will change the season every 10 spins, and any free games you might get along the way will have the same features and graphics as the spin that triggered them.

One of the major features is the one which brings you free games. It’s triggered by a scatter symbol, which has leaves on it and a logo marked Free Spins. You need at least three such symbols in any position on the reels, and in exchange you will win 7, 15 or 30 games for free. There are more wilds present during these spins, than in the base game.

With each season, there is also a new wild to take advantage of. They have different images and they work differently, so the game keeps the action fresh and interesting. We have the Hare first, for the Winter season. The Hare is a wild that jumps around and duplicates itself, so you get two wilds on the reels instead of one.

The Owl is next, offered during the Spring season. These wilds trigger re-spins, during which they move by one spot in a random direction. When they move off the screen the free re-spins will end.

The Summer wild would be the one with a Deer on it. This one expands in a pattern that is cross shaped. You get additional wild symbols above, below, to the left and to the right of the Deer.

The Autumn season has a Fox for its wild. This one applies a random multiplier, to all wins from that particular spin. It’s my favorite wild, since it doesn’t even have to be part of a winning combo in order to be of help. With five wilds on the reels, the multipliers could go as high as 10x.

What We Do Not Like

The jackpot could’ve been higher, but with the Fox wilds multiplying prizes, it could go up to $50,000, instead of the regular $5,000.

Worth Playing?

I think it’s definitely worth a shot. Seasons has the graphics and the features to make itself an interesting choice.
