What We Love
The game is slightly different graphics wise from all the other slot machines that are inspired by the Chinese in some way. You get a pretty picture from some village first of all, and you can see a lake and some trees and mountains in the background picture, a more rustic image than most slots tend to offer.
The reels get plenty of symbols that are common (gold ingots, dragon costumes), but there are some that are unique or at least rare (number 8 logos, an ox, the god of wealth). Overall, the design warrants a closer look, even though the Chinese angle has been so often approached in the past.

The character that the title mentions, the one called God of Wealth, is shown as a jolly man, with a long beard and dressed as an Emperor, or someone that dresses to impress. He has a crown on his head, gold ingots and coins all around him, and he acts as a wild symbol.
He only shows up on the 3rd reel while in the base game, but during free spins he can appear on the other reels as well in certain situations, offering up to 10,000 coins if it forms a combo at that time. Wilds substitute for other symbols and double their payouts as they do so.
The Gold Ingot symbol is the scatter in this case. Its appearance has to be in a certain number of positions, but the exact location isn’t important. As long as you have two or more you get a prize, while with three or more you also trigger the feature.

What We Do Not Like
While other games get playing cards, God of Wealth gets a lot of symbols with 8 logos on them. They’re colored differently, but otherwise they’re the same icons, and the variety is not that great as a result.
Worth Playing?
It’s a very good game for a Chinese themed title, especially since so many exist already, so it’s difficult for new ones to be original in some way. God of Wealth succeeds at that.
