What We Love

Since the game is inspired by the Top Gun movie and the F-14 fighters played a big role in it, it’s very nice to see those fighter jets make appearances in multiple features that you can trigger along the way. You might see them appear and shoot up some of the symbols, turning them into Dogfight Wilds, or you might notice them fly off their own symbols when there are enough of them to trigger the free spins. Either way, there is more to the design of the slot than just the usual reels and symbols.

The Dogfight Wilds, which I mentioned above, are offered at random, with up to 15 such symbols being added to the reels when the feature triggers. However, wilds can appear by themselves as well, so that extra feature is just a bonus.

What We Do Not Like

It’s not a bad looking game, but I feel like they could’ve done a lot more to its symbols. Though the lack of the Tom Cruise character couldn’t be helped I suppose, I still believe that Top Gun the slot just doesn’t do the movie justice since it’s missing the big hero.

Worth Playing?

Even with the lack of any Tom Cruise photos on its reels, the game is worth trying out. There aren’t any better alternatives out there, plus the game’s features do look interesting and you will love the times when the F-14 flies in and starts shooting up the symbols.
