NextGen Surprises Us With Monster Wins Slot Machine

Monster Wins seeks to take advantage of a very popular theme and type of design, at least among players, since developers haven’t released a lot of games with cute monsters. The Monsters movie was the one to get this trend started, and the designers from NextGen have chosen just that kind of look for the characters which occupy the reels of this game.

Apparently, the action takes place on a monster planet, and everyone has a lot of fun up to the point where a Boss Monster appears. The slot that you get a chance to try here will have 1024 ways to win, on 5 reels. There is no mention in regards to the top jackpot yet.

What We Love

I’ve found the graphics of Monster Wins to be quite pleasant, showing off a beautiful and weird alien planet in the background picture, while on the reels almost all of the symbols have various types of monsters in them. They range from single cell like creatures, to big ones that look like an octopus. They have between one and five eyes, another side of the whole monster look that they’ve gotten right here. They come in different colors, from red, to purple, green, orange, yellow, blue and pink.

The combinations require that you have matching symbols on consecutive reels, which start from the left. Ways to win are employed instead of paylines, so getting paid should be easier, while prizes will probably be lower than average.

As for the features of this game, one of them gives a chance to four of the monsters to be turned into the mob of the Boss Monster, by evolving into something else.

Another feature, and probably the one which will be more popular, will consist of free spins, which are triggered with help from three or more scattered Bonus icons. The Boss Monster free spins will not give you a lot of rounds, just 3 or more, but they will have some advantages. Each spin will have the same stacked Boss Monster occupying the 1st reel, so you can only form combinations of this type inside, by landing similar symbols on the other reels, starting from the 2nd one.

What We Do Not Like

The monsters are cute, but there isn’t enough diversity in the game. Still, that’s a good problem to have, for a game to come with too many cute symbols.

Worth Playing?

Monster Wins should be a pleasant experience, but we don’t know much about it right now. We’ll see when it comes out if there are any other features included and what kind of payouts will be available.
