Though claiming to be dragon themed, it would’ve been more appropriate to call it Dragon Gems, since that’s what you see for the most part on the reels. The gemstones make up the majority of the high paying symbols, followed by the poker cards.

There are two symbols which do focus on the title’s message, showing you an icon with a dragon and a shrine, both as basic drawings. The game delivers wild symbols, scatters, free spins and respins with stacked icons.

What We Love

The game’s features are a big part of why you might want to try it out. First, there is the Dragon symbol, which appears stacked. If you get it to show in all three positions of the first reel, then a Respin feature will trigger as a result.

What We Do Not Like

The overall look of Dragon Shrine is a positive one, but not an impressive one. There are a lot of light colors, nothing dark being used inside, but the choice of symbols is not a great one for me.

Besides the two simple icons which have a Dragon and a Shrine, the others are with logos or with gemstones and Royals. I’ve seen much more impressive slot machines come out of Quickspin, a new developer that usually does great in the area of graphics.

Worth Playing?

Dragon Shrine does well feature wise, but the prizes are not inspiring, and the graphics are more on the average side. Overall, it’s a bit of a toss up.
