If you would love to play something that doesn’t resemble a regular slot machine, Dragon Born could be a great solution, thanks to the way it plays and the huge number of ways to win which it can place on the reels.
You can get on its 6 reels a total of 117,649 megaways to win, but it’s a better bet that you will get a smaller number, which will be different each round. The theme chosen for it revolves around the Medieval Ages, with knights, queens, dragons and heraldry being only some of the examples of symbols present in the game. The slot’s developer is called Big Time Gaming, while the top prizes they included go up to $2,000.
What We Love
The megaways and the way the symbols change size on the reels is a big plus for the game. You have 6 reels here, and each one can have anywhere between two and seven symbols. A symbol can occupy one or two spots, or it can go up to seven positions, occupying the entire reel. The number of megaways changes each round, so you can have just 192 megaways one spin, and then go to 117,649 the next.

As for the features you will encounter along the way, among them there will be full reel wilds, with the image of a female jester used for them. They count as up to 7 symbols and they can take the place of any symbol, the scatter being the exception. These wilds also apply multipliers as high as 7x when they appear. You can have at most two wild reels in the same round, and if they both offer 7x multipliers the total will reach 49x. You’re not guaranteed any multiplier though, it could just as easily be at 1x.
In order to be guaranteed the huge number of megaways that the game can reach, you need to get the free spins. The presence of 3 to 6 Diamond scatter icons will bring you 6 to 50 spins for free, during which you have both stacked and single wilds. You also have 7 symbols on all the reels, all the time, so you get 117,649 megaways each round.
What We Do Not Like
The idea of the theme is a very good one, and it has a lovely background picture to show you, along with a couple of good symbols, but overall the game’s design doesn’t leave a great first impression.
The quality or the resolution of the images seems to be to blame for it. The playing cards have different colors and dragon scales on them, which might’ve sounded like a great idea, but I don’t like the end result.
Worth Playing?
Despite the rather bland graphics, the game has a lot to offer, and if I just mention the 117,649 megaways, that should be enough.
