Wolfpack Pays

Theme of The Game

wolf-pack-pays-slot-logoWolfpack Pays gets its inspiration mostly from nature’s creatures and beautiful views, but some elements do bring you more classic elements as well, meaning the four card suits which have about the same role as poker cards do in other slots.

The nature part is gorgeous though, featuring a couple of wolf symbols, an eagle, plus a lovely background image that shows you a lazy river, as it goes through a forest. The entire image is bathed in the orange color of the Sun, giving it a look that could hint at Autumn.

The game has only 7 symbols in total, so it would’ve been easy for NextGen to create an experience here that is entirely focused on nature. Instead, the majority of the symbols, 4 out of 7, are with the card suits.

Developer

NextGen Gaming is a company that has quite a bit of history in the online gaming market, being established in 1999. They had a special interest in slot machines from the beginning, and most of their titles are offered in this niche.

They merged in 2011, with NYX, and now they are a subsidiary of NYX Gaming Group. Still, if you’re looking for slot machines, NextGen is still the part of the company that creates them.

Wolfpack Pays is not the only game they’ve released lately, so they seem to be in a bit of an expansion phase. A couple of recent games from them, which I would recommend, include Medusa 2 and 300 Shields.

How To Play It

For the purpose of this game, which uses 243 ways to win, the betting is done on 40 lines, since it’s more convenient than using a coin for each way to win. You are only allowed to change the value of the coins, not the total number. You use bets of up to $2 per line, or up to $80 total. The minimum bet is set to $0.40.

The game looks good for the most part, but there are quite a few instances of card suits icons on the reels, natural since they’re the low paying symbols. Otherwise, I’m sure you will enjoy the graphics. The interface is slightly different, but only in the line bet area, where you have coins on which you can click to make them of a lower or higher value.

Special Features

The slot’s wild is represented by a majestic looking wolf, posing for the camera in one of the symbols. The symbol is going to be used as a substitute if it appears in the position where you need it, being capable of giving you winning combinations by acting as the other symbols on the payline. The Wolf pays directly as well, and if five of them take over a line, expect from it up to 800 coins.

One of the big advantages of this game is the fact that for each spin that has winning combinations in it, you get a free spin.

The first free spin gets wilds on the 3rd reel, and if there are additional free spins triggered, then you get the wilds on the other four reels as well. You can get up to four spins like this, with consecutive wins triggering them again and again, as part of the same paid spin.

If you manage to get to the fourth spin, then you can trigger the full Free Spins feature, called Wolfpack Pays. At this point, you are offered free spins for as long as you have Paw Tokens remaining. Paw Tokens are consumed each time you get a free spin without a winning combination in it. It’s basically up to your luck to keep you in free spins mode as much as possible.

Maximum Payouts

We know that the game will offer at most 800 coins for a winning combo, which has five Wolf wilds in it. The value for such a prize will not go beyond $1,600.

Summary

Wolfpack Pays will be an interesting game for most players, even though it doesn’t pay too much. The way it uses free spins is very cool though, and I think you will love getting so many of them, triggering each time you have even one win.
