If you’re a fan of geometry, The Link could very well be the next slot machine for you. It has several elements that would put it in the classic category, like the presence of only 3 reels inside.

It has more lines than the majority of the slots of this type, 8 of them total. I said that geometry is the theme for this game because of all the triangles, circles, squares, diamonds and crosses that are used as symbols in it.

The star is the one that is a bit different, behaving as a wild feature. In the back, there is a black background, with tiny dots of light moving around and giving it a bit of life.

Developer

Gamevy tries to be an innovator, and even though it’s a young company, it has already succeeded at it. In addition to the slot machines, like The Link, they’ve also created lotteries, scratch card games and online gameshows.

They don’t seem to try to stray too much from the basic themes, so they have titles like Epic Gems, Gears of Fortune or Back of the Net to offer.

How To Play It

The Bet Size will be used to change the amount that will be used in the wager. Whatever the bet, it covers all 8 lines. The range is between $1 and $10 for the total bet. The paytable information specifies a multiple to be used with this total bet, so you don’t have to figure out how much the line bet is.

The Link has a good enough design, very simple yet elegant, and I believe that certain players will have fun thanks to it. The minimalist approach is not for everyone though, so I think that there will be plenty that will also not enjoy it.

Special Features

Forming up a combo can be done on one of the 8 available pay lines. There are three forming up horizontally, three vertically, and two in diagonal. As long as you have three matching symbols on one of them, a prize will be offered.

One thing that I found unusual is that you get paid a lot more for multiple combinations formed. For example, three wilds will normally pay 2x total bet for one combo, while for two combinations the reward jumps to 25x, and this continues to grow until you reach 5,000x for 8 combinations.

The only part that I found to act as it usually does, was the wild symbol. The one to take on this role is the Golden Star.

A winning combination can have one or two wilds in it, with the other positions of the line having one of the regular symbols, and the substitution will occur. Another situation is when you have only wild Golden Stars on the pay line, which allows them to form a combo.

Maximum Payouts

If you happen to land the 5,000x payout that I mentioned above, with a maximum bet of $10 selected for that round, you would win $50,000 cash. This seems to be the best prize available inside.

Summary

The Link’s relatively low RTP of just 93% doesn’t recommend it, but you can still play it just for fun if you feel inclined to.
