Starquest Mobile Slot Review

Starquest isn’t all that clear about the kind of theme that it can give you, but we do know that it’s space based, and that we have a lovely female hero in the main role.

Shown in the game as a redhead dressed in a space suit and with a futuristic gun in her hand, she takes on the role of a wild symbol, which is very important here.

The game shows you the stars and a planet in the background, but on the reels the theme isn’t as well represented. With the exception of that wild symbol, the others are just poker letters/numbers and a couple of gemstone like icons, colored in red and green.

Developer

Big Time Gaming, or BTG, is the name of the company that gives us Starquest. I’ve found their games to be fairly interesting when they put their mind to it, and the features are the ones that I’m referring to mostly.

The graphics they don’t as well, or at least they don’t put them together in a pleasing way. Slots like Lucky Streak, Golden Goals or Viking Quest will prove just that.

How To Play It

Since wagers would be difficult to use if each individual megaway would need its own stake, the game prefers to use a fixed number, 40 lines being assumed for this purpose. You can spend $0.01 or more for each line, so the bets will start from $0.40 and go only up from there.

It’s definitely not a standard looking game, thanks to its weird number of reels and symbols, or because of its Megaways. Still, in the end you play it as you would any other slot machine. You set your wager, then you click on Spin, you sit back and wait to see what comes out of it.

Special Features

I would recommend you pay special attention to the Megaways. They’re like ways to win, but you don’t have a fixed number each round. The 6 reels of Starquest deliver 1 to 7 symbols each one, a number that is picked at random.

Since you could have as many as 42 symbols on those reels, compared to the 15-20 of a regular slot, the number of Megaways can be huge, up to 117,649. More often than not, you will end up with a few hundred, or a few thousand Megaways at most.

The second major feature to watch out for would be the expanding wild. The female symbol is the one that gets this role. You have her appear on the reels, taking them over entirely, and then triggering a respin where the wild gets an increasing multiplier.

The respin has the wild locked, while the other reels spin for free. For each respin, the multiplier goes up by 1x for the wild that is present, and it can reach 5x. If new wilds come in and are locked as well, then they get their own increasing multiplier.

Maximum Payouts

We don’t know the top payouts right now, but it’s safe to assume that they will not be very high on their own. The wilds have plenty of multipliers to apply to them though, so they can be improved significantly.

Summary

Starquest has a couple of pros, things that might convince you to give it a try. Don’t expect the overall design to be among them though.
