Theme of The Game

The world’s biggest carnival serves as inspiration for Samba Carnival. It’s about the Rio de Janeiro Carnival, the world’s biggest with its over 2 million people that take to the streets, coming from all over the world to dance and have fun.

Dancing and music play a huge role in the Rio Carnival, and the title of this slot machine is inspired by that. The dancing schools of Rio all compete and show off their dancing routines, and on the reels you will see three dancers that do just that.

Developer

The game comes from Play’n Go, a developer with enough high quality games already on the market to warrant a close look to whatever new title they put out, Samba Carnival included.

How To Play It

Samba Carnival offers an easy to understand layout, with the betting options being placed at the bottom, as usual. You click on the blue button marked “Coin Value” to decide the denomination, after which you use the Coins and Lines options to further modify your total bet. Bet Max, Paytable and AutoPlay buttons are available, colored in green, while the Spin button is yellow and easy to spot among the others.

The game forms its combinations from matching symbols which are on adjacent positions on the same active payline. It doesn’t matter if they start from the leftmost position, from the rightmost one, or if they start from the second or third reel. As long as the symbols are next to each other, they form a combo. It’s one of the strengths of this slot machine, something that I haven’t noticed in any other title.

Both the interface and the general design of the slot look gorgeous. They do the Rio Carnival justice, with an explosion of colors on its reels and in the background image. Even the fruit symbols are themed accordingly, to look ready to be used in cocktails, so you don’t make the connection with the classic slots immediately.

Special Features

For its features, the game uses two types of symbols, wilds and scatters. They both come in multiple variants, with the wild having four icons and the bonus having three.

Wild symbols all have noise makers in their image, but the number is different. You have between two and five such musical instruments, and when one of them participates in a winning combo, substituting for another, it will apply a multiplier of 2x to 5x. The only symbol that a wild can’t replace is the Bonus.

Three types of bonus symbols exist as well, all of them with three drums on them. The color of the drums is different in each symbol, coming in yellow, pink or green. You need three symbols of the same type, in order to trigger the bonus game. It’s not an elaborate feature though, simply asking you to pick a symbol and giving you in exchange your prize. It can go up to 150x the bet value.

Maximum Payouts

The best payout possible here will give you 2,500 times the line bet in return, which is not bad when you consider that it can be improved with the help of multipliers that go up to 5x.

The second best prize is offered in the bonus game, and it can give you up to 150x the total bet (2,250x the line bet).
