You aren’t going to get much for your money in Play ‘n Go’s new Mystery Joker 6000 slot. Although fully mobile-friendly, what you effectively have here is a classic slot machine, or a fruit machine if you prefer, with minimalistic paylines, wagers and sadly, features.
If you’re after a blast from the past, then there’s no question that this game can deliver. However, if riveting features and big prizes are the order of the day for you, you’re unlikely to find this particular new title your cup of tea.
Play ‘n Go are a mid-ranked casino software developer, and this shows why. Mystery Joker 6000 excels at being a classic slot machine, but few players in the online casino world really want to spend countless sums of cash playing such primitive games – not when there are bigger and better ones out there which are cheaper.
Wagers aren’t even cheap in this game, which is the main appeal of fruit machines, so we can’t even say that the developers did their homework when devising this game.
How to play
There are 5 paylines spread over a 3-reel structure in this title but given that you already know that this is a classic slot/fruit machine, you probably already figured that out. None of those lines can be altered, and the wagering range is quite vast.
You are going to have to stake at least $0.10 per spin on this 5-line slot, and that’s not so groovy. Wagers can rise as high as $600 a spin, though what the developers were thinking there is beyond us. Nobody – and we mean nobody – is going to wager that kind of cash on a game such as this.

Super Meter: Following any win in the game, players will be invited to press a green arrow button which takes them to the Super Meter mode. This higher level allows you to transfer your winnings over and double your stake in a bid to win more money. Landing 3 jokers on a payline in this mode can see you win the non-progressive jackpot.
Joker Bonus: Triggered by bagging three jokers on a line in the standard base game (or two plus a third via a re-spin which randomly occurs at times) players are entitled to spin a mystery wheel, where they may be able to walk away with the non-progressive jackpot.
As you might have guessed from this slot’s title, the non-progressive jackpot is capped at 6,000 coins in all. That’s not too shabby, and there are two ways to win that prize. You could land 3 jokers on a line in the Super Meter game to win the prize, or you can hope that the mystery wheel delivers that prize when you spin that.
Quite frankly, this game is not our cup of tea, and we don’t think too many other players are going to find it a riveting ride, either. The wagering range is bonkers for this kind of game, and whilst the non-progressive jackpot is very agreeable, your chances of landing it are not.
Nor are there any wilds in the game, at a time when most other major developers include them in their classic slots and fruit machines.
