Danger: High Voltage has been designed by Big Time Gaming, and it has to be one of the most unusual slot machines that they put out so far.
Despite the name, you’re not going to see the connection with electricity in the symbols that are used, or to any other theme for that matter. There is an eclectic mix of images which range from tacos, to skulls, glitterballs, red hearts and golden bells, which together don’t make any sense. The list of icons is finished with the Royal cards.
The graphics style for this game is not very fun or interesting either. It’s a game with a dated look, even though it’s a recent title. It has a relatively small set of reels, which are placed inside a room with moving lasers and with walls made out of LEDs which change colors.
Big Time Gaming has created 20+ slot machines so far, and I can’t say that I found too many that are especially attractive. They excel in other areas though, and they will often create games which are innovative and unique.
You can even see it in this game, with its six reels, a layout that they used before in other slot machines. If you do want a good looking slot machine from them, I’d recommend titles like Starquest or Faeries Fortune.
How To Play It
In the bottom left corner, you will find a setting called Stake. This is the total bet that you will use each round, and you can set it to a value between $0.20 and $40. The game just multiplies the total bet when it comes to figuring out how much it should award you.
It’s an unusual game in terms of layout, but that doesn’t make it difficult to use. It has 6 reels for one, while most slot machines will have 5 or 3. Second, each of those reels has 4 symbols. It also doesn’t use lines, relying on 4096 ways to win instead.

The Full Reel Wild is a feature that is present in Danger High Voltage. There are two variants for it, the Wild Fire and Wild Electricity. They can act as replacements for any of the regular symbols, but not for scatters. You get these two wilds on the reels 2 and 5. The Wild Electricity symbol also has a multiplier of 6x to apply to the wins that are awarded with its help.
Besides the wild symbols, the game will have a scatter as well, the one showing a red heart with a crown on top of it. As a scatter symbol, it can get you paid from any random position that it lands in, but you still need between three and six to be present before you get paid. The payouts are better than those from regular symbols, but don’t get the help of the wild’s multiplier.
With 3+ scattered Hearts, you will get a feature where you can pick between Gates of Hell spins and High Voltage free spins. The former will give you 7 free spins, with a symbol chosen to be a sticky wild when appearing on the reels 2 and 5. As for the latter, there are 15 free spins there, which get High Voltage Wilds on the reels 2, 3, 4 and 5. Multipliers of up to 66 are applied by the wilds to adjacent wins.
The game pays up to $1,000 with its regular combinations, up to $4,000 through its scatters, and with multipliers of 6x, it can go up to $6,000 for a combo of five Skull symbols.
Danger High Voltage might not look great, or offer huge payouts, but at least it’s going to be one of the more unusual slot machines that you will get a chance to try out.
