Egyptian Rise will let you know rather quickly what it is about. This slot machine, which was launched by the guys from NextGen Gaming, will deliver action which revolves around the symbols and gods of Ancient Egypt.

The choice is an overused one by now, a lot of slot machines from all kinds of developers being based on it. The symbols are also common, relying on images like the scarab, Eye of Ra, the Ankh, Horus, the Priest, Pharaoh and Anubis.

How To Play It

As you may know, if you’ve played ways to win titles in the past, you get to use paylines for your bets. For this particular game, 40 lines are needed to replace the ways to win, with the same number of coins required for them.

As is almost always the case, you only have that one coin per line, but you do get to choose what it will be worth. The minimum coin denomination is $0.01, while the maximum one is $2. Bets can go as high as $80.

The game’s options might look unusual to you if you’ve never played a NextGen title, but it’s still close enough to other slot machines that you should be able to figure it out. It’s only the coin value that looks different, showing you actual coins colored in silver when they’re of low value, and in gold when they’re worth more.

Special Features

The features are all present in plenty of other slot machines, but the way they come out is sometimes unusual in this particular case. The more typical of the features is definitely the wild, with its ability to take over for another symbol and help you with the formation of a combination.

You get it on the 3rd reel initially, but it shows up on the reels 2 and 4 as well after two consecutive wins, and on the reels 1 and 5 as well after the third. At that point, it will be able to form a combination of its own, having symbols on all the reels and giving you up to 800 coins.

A more unusual feature is the re-spin which you get after every winning combo. If you continue to get new wins formed at this point, new re-spins will be triggered. Should you get multiple re-spins, after the fourth one you trigger free spins.

The Pharaoh Feature, which offers you the free spins, will also give you scarab wilds, five of them on the reels. You finish up the free spins when there are no more pharaohs left in the meter. You start off with three.

Maximum Payouts

With 800 coins offered in a combo that you get only when there are three or more consecutive wins, it doesn’t look like an impressive enough slot machine from this point of view. The value of those coins will not go past $1,600.

Summary

Egyptian Rise delivers a rather boring theme, but the implementation is completely different from what you’d expect.
