Birds has a theme that is pretty much self explanatory. The game is inspired by small birds, most of them round and fluffy looking things, extremely cute and coming in about a dozen different colors.

You get to form a combination whenever you have at least three birds of the same type arranged next to each other. The arrangement can be done in a vertical or a horizontal mode, or they can be mixed. You might end up with a combo that has three yellow birds in a row, and then on the fourth reel it has all three. It would be a combo with six birds in it, capable of paying six times the bird value. These are called chain reactions, and when these combinations form, the birds will fly away.

The birds which fly off the wires are replaced with new ones, and the game considers once again what combinations it can form. The process, with the flight and the new bird, can happen multiple times as part of the same round.

If you happen to get at least four flights, you get to trigger free spins. The more flights are present, the more free spins you receive. You have 8 free rounds in exchange for 4 flights, 12 in exchange for 5, 20 in exchange for 6, and for each extra flight after that you receive one extra free spin.

The wild symbol is not missing from this slot machine. It’s another type of bird, one that has about half a dozen colors decorating it, looking almost like some kind of Mayan idol.
