Bicicletas is a soccer themed slot machine, a game which is inspired by one of the famous kicks of this sport, one where the player has to jump into the air with his legs higher than his body, doing a scissor kick to hit the ball.

It’s the kind of football move that you’d expect a Brazilian or some other highly technical player to achieve, being one of the more spectacular parts of the sport. It’s a good name for such a slot machine, and you will discover that it’s a title which is worthy of a football fan’s attention.

It might not have any spectacular moves shown on its reels, but there will be images of various football players, imaginary ones I believe, since I don’t recognize any of them. Symbols include card suits with a football motif on them, along with some feature logos and trophies.

Yggdrasil Gaming is the creator of Bicicletas and it’s a developer that has been around since 2012 only, but which has managed to offer an impressive collection of slot machines already.

Their games will give you great features and designs, but will often fall short when it comes to the big payouts that you might be hoping for. The name of the company comes from the mythology of the Scandinavians, Yggdrasil being a tree that was also a way to reach the nine worlds.

How To Play It

You’re working with 25 lines here, and so you need to cover them with a similar number of coins. All bets will have 25 coins in them, but you will be allowed to change denominations within a range of $0.01 to $4, which will mean total bets of $0.25 to $100. This is all done from the bottom row of options.

Bicicletas will provide you with a very good design, though there is still some room for improvement in the lesser themed symbols. The look is a pretty normal one for a slot machine which is based on football, with a high quality collection of graphics included.

Special Features

First on my list of favorites would be the wild symbol, which as usual is going to be used as a substitute. You’re not getting paid by the wild directly, so you only use this symbol as a way to fill up the quota of symbols on a payline, so that you can get a prize from the regular icons. Wilds are not capable of replacing scatter symbols.

The Trophy is one of the two scatters in use, the one that can only appear on reel 5. Getting a single Trophy on that reel will trigger a feature, where you are offered a prize that can reach 1,000 coins, plus 8 to 12 free spins.

The second method to trigger free spins needs the other scatter, the one with the football and the Free Spins logo. Simply having three, four or five of these icons present will be enough to get you 8, 16 or 24 free games.

No matter how the free spins are triggered, they work in the same way. You get sticky wilds to appear at times, which are created out of icons with players on them. The sticky wilds remain on the reels, to help you out, until the feature is over.

A wild reel is also possible, placed at random on the reels 1 to 4, when you have a Trophy scatter appear during free spins. The same Trophy also gives you a prize and retriggers a couple of free spins.

Maximum Payouts

The maximum payouts advertised in the game seem to come from the Trophy scatter, and a single one can pay you up to 1,000 coins, which could mean $4,000. I for one am not very happy with that jackpot.
