Empire Fortune’s theme is not very clear, but suffice it to say that it does involve big treasures, and that it actually delivers payout wise, especially if you look at the progressive jackpots it has in store.
This is the first game from Yggdrasil Gaming that has a large progressive jackpot, one that can apparently go over $1 million even.
The slot features all kinds of gemstones and card suits, has treasures for the background, while the setup is one with 5 reels & 20 lines. The regular prizes can go up to $12,500 normally, but even there is potential for more, multipliers of 10x being available during free spins.
Developer
I’ve found Yggdrasil Gaming to be one of my favorite developers in the last few years, ever since they started launching games.
They’ve been founded in 2013, and they’re a new company that has already made a name for itself as a developer that offers great designs, as well as impressive features. They’re not afraid of a little innovation, which is just one more point in their favor.
How To Play It
You don’t need to worry about the lines, they’re fixed and you always use all 20 that are present on the reels. The 20 coins that are in the bet will have individual values of $0.01 to $5, which should allow you to spend from $0.20 to $100 for each spin you go through.
Empire Fortune has the setup that you can expect from most games these days, there is nothing truly special about the way it works. The options that allow you to set the wager are at the bottom, and they are accompanied by various other buttons and displays.

Special Features
The slot doesn’t have any wilds, but it does come with two scatters. One of them has a Joker for its image, the other a Faberge Egg.
You need a minimum of three scatters, of the same type, to appear in order to get something from them. If you have just two, then the Hold Feature kicks up, and you have two locked reels and one respin, in the hopes that at least one more scatter will appear.
One of those two scatters is the Joker, and its appearance in the required 3+ positions will bring you 10, 20 or 30 free spins. That’s not all though, as there will be multipliers in place also, which will be at 2x, 4x or 10x, once again depending on how many triggering symbols there were.
The Jackpot Wheel is the feature which is responsible for triggering the progressive jackpots. You access one of its three levels by landing 3, 4 or 5 Faberge Egg Bonus icons. Each level has a different maximum prize.
Maximum Payouts
The best regular prize goes up to 2,500 coins, which could mean $12,500 in the base game, or up to $125,000 if the 10x multipliers of the free spins are used.
There are also three progressive jackpots though, which can bring you $1+ million for the first one, $10,000+ for the second one, and $1,000+ for the third one.
Summary
Empire Fortune has the luck of being capable of paying impressive prizes, or its theme wouldn’t pass the test. As it stands, though, I would definitely try this game again.
